Our students participated in an Open National Taekwondo
Championship 2020 held on 8th to 12th Jan, 2020 at Karamangala Indoor
Stadium, Bengluru Karnataka organized by Bengaluru Taekwondo Academy on
the occasion of Karnataka Taekwondo Festival in which B. Udantika,
U-22kg(10yrs) bagged silver medal and K. Aadvika, U-24kg(10yrs), P.
Anjali, U-35kg(10yrs), Achal Sharma, U-38kg(12yrs), V. Manu Keerthan,
U-28kg(12yrs) and V. Ashwitha, U-33kg(14yrs) got Bronze Medals.

A . Sai Abhiskek and M. Chaitanya Reddy of Std IX of our
school participated in 'Open Kids Badminton Tournament' on 11 January,
2020 held at Fair Play Arena Bengaluru organized by Event Bangalore and
both the students won a Gold Medal, a trophy and a participation
certificate each under 15 boys category.
 

To develop aesthetics sense amongst the children and to
make them think and work creatively an inter house Rangoli Making
Competition was organized on 11 January, 2020 for the students (VII to
IX std) on the occasion of Pongal and Makar Sankrathi in our school
premises.

On the 10th of January 2018, our school held annual Sports Meet.  A temporary shed was raised close to the playground for the guest to sit and watch the games. School playground was crowded with throngs of people. The students were bustling with energy ready to compete. A panoramic view of the field could be seen from a distance.

All participants moved to their respective teams and huddled together. Many participants were impatient and anxious while waiting for the final briefing. Some were chatting with their team-mates. The rest of the spectators were shouting and cheering loudly in support of their House teams.

The sports meet started with the welcome of Chief Guest Mr DSGSS Babji GM(O) NTPC and Guest of Honour Mr M. Sri Ram AGM(HR) NTPC Ltd Ramagundam and the Principal's welcome speech followed by ‘Annual Sports Report’ from Mr MVNM Prasad, Physical Director of school. He briefed and highlights the achievements of those students who brought the laurel to the school during the year.

The participants had to warm-up before the activity began. They sprinted around the area they were stationed. Some did stretching exercises while others got their sporting gear organized.

The participants actively participated with zest and vigor. The team members were focused on their goal and tried to get in position. They wanted to try their best to bring down their opponent.

The activities began with the march past followed by a relay of 100-400 meters, Hundred-meter Race, Two Hundred-meter Race, three legs Race, Thread-and-Needle Race, Attention Test, hurdles, running, long jump, high jump, short put, Discus-throw, Badminton, Basketball, Kabbaddi & Kho-Kho finals, an amazing performance by parents in music chair game and many others. The girl-competitors played in the another group. Each competitor was allowed to play not more than three events. The onlookers raised great uproars at the exciting moments of a game. The end point judges and the announcer were ready. Results were announced on mike at the end of every event.

Now wait  was over for a panegyric and galvanized speech from the Chief Guest, Mr DSGSS Babji, GM, (O) NTPC Ltd Ramagundam. He spoke a lot on importance of sports and games in present scenario.

Finally, it was time to call the winners on the Victory Stand. The winners and the winning House was felicitated by the Chief Guest,  Guest of Honour and the Principal. The spectators were cheering loudly and applauding for their teams. They were chanting incessantly and waving their House flag. NTPC and nearby school principals also witnessed the meet with  words of appreciation. The day ended on a happy note with the vote of thanks proposed by Headmistress.

The celebration began in the school premises with the unfurling of the National flag followed by a speech with patriotic zeal and fervour by the Principal.

On the occasion, two students were awarded for their excellent performance in Hindi Essay. This was followed by a pledge to make India clean and rid the country of the problems of poverty, corruption, terrorism and casteism in the next 5 years. A few students from the school presented a patriotic drama. The programme concluded with the National Song, Vande Mataram, evoking the feeling of patriotism among all present.

Independence Day was celebrated at our School on August 15. Principal of our School. spoke about the significance of the historic day, and urged the students to become model citizens. Mr. Gian Chand principal of our School, presided over the function.

Various cultural programmes were conducted with the aim of developing the leadership qualities of children. The function concluded with the rendition of the national anthem.

Republic Day was celebrated by the staff and students of Sachdeva School of Excellence.

School principal Gian Chand Thakur ji threw light on various tasks to be undertaken by the present students who are the future citizens of the country. Cultural activities were held and the gathering was treated with some spectacular musical feats.

School principal welcomed the chief guest, distinguished guests, invitees and parents. The chief guest said on the occasion that students should be brave and face all the challenges with courage. She asked all the students to be responsible so that they can perform their role as good citizens.

One of the most anxiously awaited occasions in our school is its annual day. Great excitement and hurried activities are visible all around. The prize-winners and those who are participating in the cultural programme to be presented on that day are especially elated. Even those who are not actively, involved are excited to have a study-free day in school, filled with fun, frolic and amusement.

The preparations for the annual day begin much ahead of the day itself. The school gets a complete face-lift with all the classrooms thoroughly cleaned and charts on all subjects, carefully made by the students and artistically displayed on the walls.
